Accelerated Reader

I'm sure a bunch of you know of the retarded Accelerated Reader program most English teachers make you do, so this will make sense to you guys.

Does anybody know of any good AR books? I just finished up Dune, and I can't really find anything else. I was going to read fear and loathing in Las Vegas but it wasn't AR, and I can't think of anything else. AR is 10% of my English grade.

Does I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell count?

I don't remember having to do anything like this. We had to do book reports in 8th grade, but I was just reading Clancy novels to do it, not any special series.

Forgot to mention - I prefer fairly high level books, I want to read as few as possible. Also I stumbled upon this: http://www.arbookfind.com/
If there's any good books, just search for them on there, if they're good, let me know.

I was going to find a picture book for the laughs, but the ATOL system flummoxed me and I couldn't be bothered going through the help section. =(

I'm not quite sure what AR is (other than the assault rifle P:) but you can read lord of the rings for 10% of your English qualification... I'd do that.

Slaughterhouse V - Kurt Vonnegut is pretty unique, and in a good way
Brave New World - Fun and interesting to think about, but I personally don't think much of Huxley's pessimistic views on science

A lot of the frequently banned classics are good reads. However, some can be FULL-BLOWN sexually explicit.
